"Silent Dances" - a piece for piano trio (Peter Fulda - piano, Thomas Gier - bass, Andreas Gandela, drums) and voice (Céline Rudolph) combines elements of very different music cultures on the basis of today`s European harmonic principles. This "raw material" is formed by rhythmic , melodic and spiritual influences from India, Africa, Haiti, Latin America, the Pacific Isles, Turkey, Portugal, Australia and the European Middle Ages. The singing voice doesn`t use any word, it is rather the actual expression of musical and non-verbal affects.

Two times three pairs of 5 to 10 minutes lasting tracks face each other. Essential features of the music are inwardness and wealth of colors. Such balanced relationship between fixed texture and guided improvisation requires an always new and deep examination of the "foreign ideas".

fado - râgavardhana

kotekan - candratâla
